This is my first post.
I had corrected a bad interior weatherstrip on one of the doors, so I suddenly had a lot less noise. However, with that noise gone, I could hear a new noise: a wind noise from the back door. When I stopped, I checked it out. I looked from inside the door at the window glass (hatch), and there was daylight between the glass and the weatherstrip back there.
Is there some kind of adjustment that can be made to the back door window glass so it can better contact the weatherstrip and seal?
I don’t recall issues with weatherstripping coming up, especially with 2 separate issues. Can you post some pictures? Any concern or knowledge of the vehicle being in an accident?
Sure. Here is a pic looking from inside the trunk area. The camera is facing down at the bottom of the window glass of the rear door/hatch. The bottom is the only place where it does not touch. The sides and top are in good contact with the molding/weatherstrip/seal. The light area you see in the pic is daylight between the glass and the strip
Well, I figured it out. It also cost me a lot of money. I ended up taking it to the dealer. They told me the seal needed to be replaced. However, they said that it was installed backwards. It does look rather odd the correct way around. But, it does make contact with the window. The wind noise is gone. I have checked other GXes in the window seal is also oriented the same (correct) way.
