Lightbulb Stainless Steel American Racing Headers Catback Exhaust

The V8 on this vehicle sounds great! Unfortunately, I can't find a single aftermarket exhaust or header kit available. Looking for a 304 stainless mandrel bent system. Just fab one up? 304 stainless is not that easy to weld up. I can't imagine being the first individual to explore this since 2010. I am certain there are some of you on this forum that are interested in this as well.

I have contacted Nick - manager/owner of American Racing Headers. These guys are legendary when it comes to building quality domestic systems. They are located on the East Coast and need to take a look at a second gen on a lift. If Nick can fab up a catback system, that would be fantastic. If he is able to fab up a set of headers as well, I am also game. If any of you are in the area and can schedule a time his contact info is as follows:

Awesome! If anyone can fab up a TRUE dual exhaust and save the spare - headers, x pipe, dual mufflers and exits, it's these guys. I am definitely interested in said system.

Spoke to Nick, I will run out to see him within the next 2 weeks. He will need the vehicle for 1-2 weeks for a full production fabrication. Very nice guy and I look forward to starting this process.

If you end up replacing the headers...don't throw out the stockers...they are worth ALOT $$

I highly doubt I will put headers on it but I guess you never know. Thanks for the heads up.

I know you guys think this is cheesy but I am doing a muffler job next week to get a more aggressive sound. The power gains from an exhaust are so minimal and they may come at the cost of torque, not to mention how expensive of a modification it is. I will report back with results!

I do not know but I'd assume no, it will not, just due to the Prado has the spare on the rear door and our's on ther GX is under the vehicle.

Default 2016 GX460 Exhaust

Want to replace my exhaust with a new more BA sounding one with better performance. Any opinions please?

If there a F sport exhaust that's an option that will work and sound better? Not too sure.

Those quads look way to small for the size of the vehicle. I would think you'd need duals at least 3" in size each to look proportional

OP, go to an exhaust shop and ask them to fabricate you one out of stainless. Only thing you might have to do is order a muffler that you like. Should cost probably around $1500.

The problem with that is that they are not faired into the bumper. I don't think bigger tips would look right just hanging under the bumper..

Single tip initially installed in my hand. I wanted a more aggressive look.

Measurement with what I have. Larger would look awkward.
