Default Stock Rims with Michelin Defender LTX M/S on lifted Rig/Daily Driver

Anyone with lifted GX 460 running stock rims with Michelin Defender LTX M/S? I just wondering how it would look so please post pictures. I have a 2016 BTW

I think stock rim is pretty nice especially with beefier tires. This thread has stock rims and tires with a lift

Main reason why is because I just bought those michelins like two weeks ago and I'm thinking about lifting my truck and don't want to have to get new tires LOL

if you go with a lift, 265/65-18 looks better.

I got you! Just swapped out of KO2's into a set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S in 265/70/18's
No rubbing whatsoever, and no modifications needed. Lighting isnt the best, but I think they still look good.

Looks good, is that on stock suspension? I do like the ride of the Defenders on-road. Plus they have gotten decent reviews for light offroading.

265/70-18 ? or 265/65-18 ?

The stance and red component (shock mount) observed in the front suggests you are running a lift ?

Agree ... the original 265/60-18's in terms of diameter look lost in the wheel well opening, with 265/65-18's looking perfect (with no rubbing on a non-lifted GX-460 using the stock OEM rims). With a lift, the 265/65-18's would probably also look lost in the wheel well opening ... so a larger diameter tire would look better balanced, but then the question of a body-mount-chop needs to be investigated.

Yep, GoHuskers nailed it. Check his post above- complete ToyTec lift. I saw about a 2.75" lift in the front.
With the 265/70/18, there is still about a 1/2" clearance between tire and wheel well. Tire Diameter: 32.6"

I would have gone with the 275/70/18 (Diameter 33.2") but didn't want to move up to an E Rated tire.
Here's a pic of the same lift with stock rims and tires (OEM Diameter 30.52"). Definitely looks tiny!

Looking good! I actually like that setup a lot (although I would definitely go BFG K02), you might have pushed me a little closer to pursuing a lift lol.
