Default Can someone help me out real quick? Spare tire question.

So I looked under the car and noticed that the spare tire is NOT actually sitting leveled relative to the ground. The part of the tire facing the front of the car dips down a little bit compared to the rear. Is this normal?
I've attached a picture of what I'm talking about. Can someone check their car real quick to see if your spare tire also sits like this or if yours sit flat relative to the ground/curb? It feels tight and snug otherwise..

That is normal spare tire position.

Mine sit a bit parallel than that. You can crawl down and see if it hits the stabilizer bar. You can loose it, drop it down and see if you can push that side up and roll it up.

Thanks for the tip. So i got underneath and discovered that the chain latch wasn't centered and the up-notch thing on the latch itself wasn't in a lug nut hole like it should be. Lowered the chain, fixed the latch positioning and problem solved. I guess the spare tire does naturally sit forward-down a bit, but not as much as before.

Not to thread jack but, since we are talking about the spare, do you guys do the 5 or 4 tire rotation?
By the way, my spare is more level than yours.

I do 4 tires rotation. My spare is the best of the last set I replaced. When I replace the current set, one of them will be put in place for the spare. Lol

Per your concern, the wheel is not aligned properly in the well ... should be close to horizontal. The outward face of the wheel (pretty side) should be facing upward ... looks like the one pictured is backwards to where the bracket that engages the wheel does not engage the wheel properly as you indicated above "So i got underneath and discovered that the chain latch wasn't centered and the up-notch thing on the latch itself wasn't in a lug nut hole like it should be." Also, the fact that the chain is visible in the attached picture reinforces that the wheel is backwards.
