In a word, excellent. Have a 2021 GX460 with the ML Audio. I think it surpasses the 19 speaker system in my previous 2007 LS460. I've listened to Audi's Bang and Olufsen, Tesla's Premium Model 3 system, and Harman Kardon in Mercedes, and from those limited experiences I'd say the ML in the GX is the best I've heard yet. It has a warmth you won't find in the Audi Bang and Olufsen systems but is just as sharp. Amazing sound quality.

Yeah, I get the impression that some of the non-ML opinions out there may not have used a quality source as a comparison. I know my wife's primary source of audio in her vehicle is broadcast radio which is a terrible source and therefore she sees no value in upgrading a stereo in a vehicle. We actually compared a Luxury with ML and a base non-ML while at a dealer using our USB drive and I felt there was a noticeable difference/value.

The old DVD-Audio format sounds really good in it as well.

Yes, for a large SUV with a lot of cabin volume, it’s quite good. We drove an ML and a non-ML back to back and I streamed the same set of songs in each and the difference is significant. Ours is a 2014 and the ML was the only option (for us) that made the premium vs the luxury trim an obvious choice.
