Hi, I have a 2021 GX460 with tow hitch. Although GX460 is a safe truck, with 3rd row in place, I am thinking to add additional guards to protect front and 3rd row passengers. What would be the front and rear guard people recommend? I searched online and found only very low bumper guards, which I think would be too low for passenger protection. The steel bike rack might also improve protection from rear since it locks in place about 1 person high? Any advise would be appreciated. Thank you!

Are you thinking of going with a front metal bumper?

I think ARB is the only bumper vendor I am aware of that does occupant crash testing and confirms SRS Airbag functionality in a wreck.

On the rear you could always look at a Wilco Hitchswing (I have one) or similar with a cargo carrier.

Honestly don't know how much additional protection it would offer in a "high" speed accident or if it would hinder access if damaged in an accident.
