Owned both at the same time - the LX has a much better ride due to the hydraulic suspension, has slightly more midrange power, is quieter, and is generally a better place to be. Interior amenities are on par with your LS460, whereas the GX would probably be closer to an IS or GS level of materials and fit/finish. Neither are on the cutting edge of tech, but that's not why you buy these cars. The LX is a much larger car though and the price difference between the 2 is significant. The 2021 GX has acoustic side glass, so it may be just as quiet now. If money is no object, get the LX, otherwise, the GX is probably 80% of the car for about 60% of the cost. The 3rd row in the GX is probably not going to blow you away, as others have mentioned, but realistically, the LX 570 third row is not exactly award wining either, except you have slightly more room. Both are terrible to access.

Honestly, I like driving my gx460 versus the lx570. Wife has the LX as her daily driver. She loves it. She came from an LX470 before the 570, and both LX generations have similar suspension and ride quality, though the 570 obviously has a lot of upgrades and improvements over the earlier models.
the LX is a gas hog compared to the GX, 15mpg versus 20-21 highway.
I usually drive 35000 miles per year in my gx, so maybe I'm just used to it. The GX is smaller obviously, and I think easier to maneuver and park. For long trips with the kids, we take the LX, as it has more room, and a cooler box for kid drinks, so it's more convenient, and the interior is quieter and a bit more luxurious than the GX, but like the post above, if money is no object and you find an LX you like, get that one. From what you described as the purpose of your purchase in the OP, the LX would be easier to haul more than 4 adults around.
I specifically looked for an older LX, as I didn't want the rear entertainment screens in the back of the front seats, I preferred a single overhead monitor for a few reasons. Used, good condition LX570s are hard to come by though! I looked for nearly 2 years before I bought the one we have.
whatever you end up doing, you'll be happy. Both the GX and the LX are fabulous IMHO.
Good luck!
