Rear Liftgate Window Removal Process?
I recently bought a 2011 GX 460 with 90,000 miles and noticed that the rear glass hinges are badly corroded. Apparently, there was known an issue with these and they could've been replaced under warranty for free, but the previous owner didn't follow through on that.
I'm able to find replacement hinges online but am wondering the effort level of swapping them out? Has anyone done this or have instructions to share?
Thanks.

I wouldn't bother with replacement unless you have an unusual extreme case. I cleaned my hinges a while back with a wire wheel and they are doing fine with the rust/corrosion that seems to not get deep into the metal. I think it is the appearance of it that concerns people.

Thanks, tecman. That's maybe all I needed to hear.
It's annoying because the vehicle is in near-mint condition otherwise. I live in MN and rust is a reality here for 10-year-old vehicles. Just wanted to make sure it somehow wouldn't start rusting areas around it on the liftgate as well.
