Lightbulb Towing and mirrors

What mirrors can I use to increase the viewing width of the mirrors for towing a 96 inch wide trailer?

Default Towing and mirrors

Hey,
I just bought a 2019 GX460 with a towing package. Also bought a 20 foot travel trailer, (now I can travel long distance without needing to worry too much about COVID). I've owned RXes since 1999 and moved up to a GX for the extra towing capacity. The trailer is 8 feet wide. My problem is finding towing mirrors that will work. Lexus does not carry or recommend a 3rd party mirror. I've been searching online and cannot find a mirror that has been proven to work on a GX. The ratings, and prices, are all over the map. Some work great and others will fly off the car at 50 MPH.

Does anyone out there have experience towing a travel trailer with a GX, and can recommend 3rd party mirrors?

Thanks,
Joe Peltier

Default Towing Experience & Mirrors

I and others would be very interested in your towing experience. There are mixed reviews on the web. What does you trailer weigh, do you have sufficient power on inclines, and how does it tow at 60+mph.I would be great to hear from someone with recent experience.

As for mirrors, I think that will be complicated since the GX are auto dimming. I have not seen any recommendations on other websites.

Enjoy you rig

I've been towing my boat which weighs about 5,000 pounds. Power is fine around town but if you encounter hills (there are many around here) it's lacking power. The engine will often rev 4,000+ if you want to keep your speed. It works but not my favorite thing to do.

No idea of fit. They are not power folding.

Default Towing mirrors

Hi - I have a 2021 GX 460 and am looking for a good set of towing mirrors. Has anyone installed these mirrors on their GX? Or any suggestions on a good set to purchase?

thank you

Thanks Nate
I checked their website and it looks like this is an Australian manufacturer and no NAm dealers.
