I am a previous 2018 GX owner. I picked up a new 21 GX and noticed in the rear wheel well, an exposed nut. Looks like the nut broke through the undercoating. On my 2018, there is some kind of cover and some type of rhino spray over it. So on my 2018, the bolt is covered from the elements. My 21 is just exposed. I asked the dealer what’s the deal with this? They had no clue. I checked the other new models and they were all exposed too. I checked the previous models and they were covered and sprayed over. Anyone know if we are missing some kind of cover and undercoating over this? I don’t want it to rust. I live in the northeast and have a ton of salt in the roads during the winter. Lexus IS pretty good with fit and finish. It’s not like them to overlook a small detail like this. Especially a suv made in Japan.
Interesting! Just bought a 2021 and have the same issue. It's for the backseat seatbelt. Not worth going back to the dealer, but I need to coat this in something, perhaps flex seal.
