Where did you get your 4600"s. Did you have to disable the KDSS or where they compatible?

... same shock in terms of valving ... with the 5100's having multiple spring perch positions in the front for incremental levels of lift to reduce or eliminate the forward rake ... versus the 4600's that are stock ride height. The (longer) 5100's are required on the Luxury in the rear given the air-bag-leveling ... the 4600's do not have the length if the rear is fully extended in terms of height.

Being new to the GX world, did you have to install coil springs in place of the air bags to install the Blisteins 4600?

I think I optimized the ride and handling. Put the latitude to 38.5 lbs. Ride so much smoother.I put the 4600 on the rears as well. It’s a luxury. Rides like magic compared to the electronic shocks.

For me the Bilstein's make the GX feel stable and planted while smoothing out the road ... where the OEM Shocks felt "nervous" all the time, as if they were constantly attempting to figure how to respond to the road conditions ... a very uneasy feeling IMHO. The Bilstein's respond as if they can read what's coming next ... exclusive on Porsche's and BMW's for decades for a reason.

Do you think I will run into a problem having the 4600 on the rear of my luxury?

I assume that as long as you are at "neutral" height or lower it is the same ride height as the Premium that uses springs. If you were to adjust ride height above "neutral" the 4600's would potentially "top out".

Do a test ... with the GX running ... verify you are at "neutral" ride height ... then while observing the rear movement (using a visual reference) ... have someone in the cabin adjust the rear ride height above "neutral" and see if the shocks hault additional lift before the cabin indicator indicates full height. Does this make sense ? If the shocks do "top out" ... stop attempting to raise the rear height any further, meaning do not attempt to add additional pressure to the air springs.

Default Aftermarket options for ride height control rear struts

Wife has a 2015 luxury gx460 and 1 of the rear struts is leaking. The ride is rough as hell. The air bags and associated electronics are fine.

are there aftermarket struts available for this model. The cost for parts to replace the 2 struts was $2,200.

I was to keep the adjustable ride height feature in tact for when I sell the car.

Ride height has nothing to do with the shocks. You can buy standard OEM 4runner shocks (which are like $50 each) and just hide the electrical connector from the OEM shock. I did that on my GX470 and it was fine.

Did you have any warning lights show up on your dash because the ride height was not working?
