Ride Height (Air Bag Inflation) and Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS Shocks) have nothing to do with the other ...

Yes, IMHO the AVS Shock replacent cost is criminal for what the AVS system represents in terms of benefit over conventional shocks.

Lots of opinions on this subject ... all over the map ... I ditched AVS Shocks on a GX470 and GX460 and replaced with Bilstein 5100's ... huge improvement in handling, steering response, reduction in body roll ... etc ... about $500 for the shocks plus labor for installation. The rear shocks are about 30-odd minutes labor per side for replacement ... probably rounded up to 1-hour per side at a dealership.

I have 5100’s on my gmc 1500 and they are great. Will they work on a stock 460 with no lift?

$177 each from Partsouq. Order the mounts and you can install them yourself in minutes. I've been running them for over a year now and they are fine.

Bilstein 5100's are required with Air Bag rear suspension ... given the need for extended travel.

Nothing more arrogant than saying "install them in minutes" ... and highly misleading ... seriously ? ... a total disservice to those that have never replaced shocks before ... or even those that have.

Does the 741072 fit a 2015 model 460? I am having a hard time cross referencing the part number with the Lexus part number

I'm not sure that's true, especially with KDSS limiting articulation. T4R w/o KDSS has more articulation and can run 4600's just fine.

I have 4600 on my luxury 460. Much better than stock but still not enough dampening on loopy dips. The truck just doesn’t regain composure fast enough.

I would stay far away from these, probably Chinese junk.
