Here’s my black blackline

 

Man, I'd love to have the blacked-out trim and scarlet tail lights on my Claret Mica GX.

 

TRD JON’s video of the 2022 GX 460 has a segment (around 5:45 min) which, in addition to the showing the new infotainment system, also shows the (poor) quality of the backup camera video/image.

Looks like Lexus didn’t also upgrade the backup camera with the new infotainment system.

I’ve included a link to TRD JON’s YouTube video for reference / and a screen shot of the backup camera image from that video. Note that GX, in the video, does not have the off-road package or the panoramic / multi-terrain monitor.

Anyone seen, with their own eyes, if the backup camera image is “better” in a 2022 GX with the panoramic / multi-terrain monitor?

 

Hey sorry if this has been reposted. I’ve searched a lot but haven’t been able to find enough info.

I have the raised roof rails that come with the blackline and was looking to get the crossbars.l so I could fit a Thule roof box on it. The guys at the dealer seems to keep telling me to get the crossbars for the non raised rails which k don’t think is correct. Anyone able to help me out. Thanks

They're $900 or so on eBay... tempting but I'd rather go your route.

 

I have a set of new scarlet tail lamps brand new in box. I purchased before knowing about a BL edition.

 

Those bl tails look good.

 

Its night and day difference vs my 2018. I have no complaints.

 

Situman, thanks for the reply. Your GX has the panoramic/multi-terrain monitor? Would you mind posting an example of the image from the backup camera?

 

The backup camera image quality seems to be on par with our 4Runner, which is a far cry from high definition. Usable? Absolutely. But certainly not amazing.

 

My 2022 premium back camera has bad resolution which looks like 10 years ago. But I see some pictures that the luxury version has good quality surround view.
