I see that the window sticker for my GX is now available in Toyota's inventory so that's a good sign as it appears to have left the port already...see below for my reasoning.

https://api.toyotainventory.com/vehi..._HERE/monroney

The downside is that the tow hitch wasn't installed at the port and was removed from the window sticker as well as the Lexus VIN lookup website....and I need the hitch...doh :-(

I emailed the dealer and was told they are seeing that type of thin happen so she is going to look into getting a hitch and installing it for me before I go to pick it up.

Im sure they take care of you but just to keep your options open I bought the trailer hitch kit from bell lexus and it was delivered to my door for about 250 bucks and from my understanding it’s a 30 mins and a beer install with one person to hold it up and one to bolt it on.

I'll keep that in mind...thanks!

Did your hitch come with the wiring harness or is that already installed on all GX's?

my understanding is they all come prewired. That was just based on some online forum searches. I’ll let you know when I install in a week or so. My truck is due 15-20th but I need to ship as I can’t make the drive to take delivery.

Our '22 did not come with a hitch, but it is indeed pre wired for trailer connection. I'll be buying the OEM hitch and installing it myself before too long as well.

That one only has a 5000lb rating though correct? I have a 5000lb rated trailer so I really wanted the 6500lb hitch because of the 80% rule and just as a CYA.

Correct it’s only rated for 5000 lbs.

I don’t know why the rear cameras quality is so bad. I have a 2011 and I changed mine out for a $20 aftermarket with parking grid lines(mine didn’t have them OEM) and the picture is the same or better..very frustrating.

Backup camera resolution is bottlenecked by the factory display screen, which is not so great.

I can’t compare to any other GX but I can say my 2022 luxury trim GX’s backup camera is clearer and sharper than my 2021 performance trim LC500 backup camera.

AirForce8, thanks for the info.

From the postings here, it seems the luxury trim has a better backup camera vs. non-luxury trim. Do you have the off-road package or the panoramic view monitor option?

I think Lexus did this on purpose.

My brother RX350 lux has the 360 camera and it is 100000000 times better than my RX350 premium with the normal back up camera

You’re welcome…. I do not have the off road package but I do have the panoramic view monitor and multi terrain monitor.
