GX is a nice suv but yes, except some minor changes it's pretty much a new old car. I hope 3rd gen will bring me back.

Interesting price reduction on the bottom end at $71,700 (CAD) versus current $77,050 (CAD).

$71,700 (CAD) = $57,137.73 (USD)

$77,050 (CAD) = $61,401.14 (USD)

US Base models are typically quite a bit lighter in equipment than what is listed here

IE: Heated/Ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, 3rd zone HVAC, etc

In US last time there was this kind of price reduction was when 2014 models came out and base was de-contented

The outgoing "base" is in fact a Premium so like-for-like, price has increased by about $2k CAD.

M4rk: Do they have a base package in Canada for 2021?

https://www.lexus.ca/lexus/en/build-price/gx#/packages

It appears there are just two now (Standard and Executive) and they are going to create up to 4 trim levels with a lower entry price

It has been a little tricky for me to follow as it has usually been off the spec sheets and brochures with package/trim names that seem to change quite often. I need to further lay that out in the post I have below so one would not have to dig through the content.

Yeah, but the fully loaded is the same price. I don't necessarily trust this image though. A few things stand out:
  1. Headlight washers only on blackline?
  2. Where'd the rear seat entertainment system go? Dropped or just not listed?
  3. Underfloor view - presume this is new and not the same feature I have on my 2021, which really only takes you up to the front bumper.
Always glad to see new things added, and if I was in the market I'd appreciate the lowest model. I got the Exec due to inventory shortages but would have loved an option $12K cheaper. The power 3rd row is a shrug for me.

As mentioned in IH8Mud.. missed the 6 USB ports (I can't find where the other two are going to be in vehicle documentation though)

It has been like this for a number of years. The "standard" (like my 2021) is akin to a US Premium spec. We only have the Executive package as an option. I am interested in seeing how the introduction of lower-tier packages will affect sales out here. I wouldn't have mine any other way but the chrome delete does look cool

You may have it. Since you have Exec w/ MTS, I believe the camera view changes in 4LO. I've never popped mine in to test it out, but saw references in the OM to such a thing.
