I read rumor earlier and appears to now be redacted.
Along the lines that legacy V8 production will continue in Japan until 2025 and they plan to carry the GX 460 through 2024 or 2025 model year with current powerplant.
I would assume at least 2024 model year. GX may continue one model year beyond the new 4R which appears to be for 2023 model year.
These legacy V8 engines would then be discontinued from production in 2025.
Apparently a rumor from a senior Lexus product manager here in the US.

"The 2022 GX now starts at $56,500, a roughly $300 hike over last year’s model. That money buys the base version that drapes its interior in synthetic leather. The Premium trim level costs about $1,200 more and includes cooled front seats, rear-seat automatic climate control, and integrated fog lights, plus it’s the jumping-off point to more options including a new Black Line special edition with blacked-out exterior trim and an exclusive Nori Green paint hue."

2022 brochure
Note: Aside from Nori green in colors appears to be lacking the content for the Black Line Special Edition

I love those roll and pitch gauges. My dad had analog version of those in his Toyota Tercel wagon manual transmission when I was growing up I would just stare at those things on trips in amazement… lol
i damn near bough a FJ cruiser just for those gauges 5 years ago…
damnit Lexus, green exterior and now gauges.

Think I need to see this new center console in person. Not totally sold but would definitely prefer this new analog type set for climate controls. Don't care about carplay or apple.
I wonder how hard or if any forum members will ever attempt to graft this into an older model.

I wonder if the Premium Plus package will be offer all over. This package was not available in NY for some strange reason. I wouldnt mind power 3rd row and a Mark Levinson. I'm going to assume I will just keep this thing if I do end up leasing it.

Possibly in the CAD market. I don't know enough about the Sport package as our packages here are limited, but AFAIK we haven't gotten the captains chairs in quite some time now. I know my speculative thoughts about a car in a market you're not buying in probably isn't helpful
