This is the model I've been waiting for - carplay and still the v8. I'm going to trade my 2019 for this.

Where did you go to see the online build and price for the 2022 model year? Do you have the link you used? When you go to Lexus.com it still shows 2021 for the build tool even though the brochure now is showing 2022.

Not that the current model's interior is the pinnacle of luxury, but something about the new center stack just looks cheap to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited that they've finally updated the interior tech but that center stack looks like it would feel right at home in the interior of a Rav4. Hopefully I like it better in person.

Make no mistake the design of the center stack on a late refresh for the GX is a fart in the wind compared to the time, money and effort spent designing the infotainment for a RAV4 release. There’s just a lot more on the line.

I agree this isn’t an amazing integrated system in terms of design. Heck it isn’t even Lexus/Toyota’s best infotainment system. It’s a late tack on to
make the car palatable for current fools to
upgrade from their old GX.

With that said I was super happy to
see this as a 4runner owner (former LX and LC owner) and ordered a nori.

Ordered a Nori Green, eh?

Is that likely to be the only way to get one in that color?

Thinking of hoping from a 4Runner TRD to a Nori GX.

Yes from my understanding by reading the literature here Nori is exclusive to the SE package in the GX. Of course many other lexus offer it so it's not really all that exclusive. Also wouldn't be surprised if they drop its exclusivity next year the way Toyota does. I just really like the color. I have a lunar 4runner right now which I also great just been itching for a more refined ride. I went from back to back 4runners to the land cruiser and then the LX. I loved everything about the LC200 except infotainment. Unfortunately I think the LX600 is going to be mucho dinero and there won't be fat discounts immediately like when I bought my LX in 2019.

I tried to build one using multiple zips (midwest, LA, FL, NY) but only see 2 packages avail. and if I picked Sport Package I will have the 2nd row captain chairs. Maybe, just maybe the Sales Manager can special order me one with my requirement.

Also, in order to get the FRONT camera you will have to get the Offroad package or the pano. view monitor package which are only avail on the Luxury model. Is that correct @Acrad ?

You still have to order a Luxury for the pano camera. It can be standalone like it was with 20 & 21 without Off-Road package

I'd only be interested in the Nori Green blackline if I could get it with the offroad package (of which the pano camera is included). Since the offroad package is restricted to the luxury edition, not sure this is possible since the Lexus builder isn't up yet for the blackline edition.

I never fully understood the Luxury model as most of it is really about towing and off-road. Too bad they didn't have something like the GX Adventure or something similarly active sounding. This model variant could have the base Nulux seats, manual third row seats, base radio, but have crawl control, MTS, Pano and underneath cameras, maybe additional tranny cooler (not sure that would be needed), and a modified front grill for better approach angle.

@CFAI agree 100%.
it’s real hard imagining ToMoCo not bringing back some hybrid or EV version of the FJ cruiser (purpose built off-roader) to compete with the wrangler and bronco. That stripped down version will never wear a Lexus badge… and that’s ok by me. Perhaps they’ll shakeup the lineup with the next gen 4Runner…
I also find it hard to believe ToMoCo will never sell a Land Cruiser again in North America… that GR LC300 is saweet!

It is kind of interesting as 460 in other markets outside of North America have generally been optioned fully loaded over the years

The common Eurasian FSM for 460 doesn't even show a non-AVS/RAHC model and assumes you have Driver Support Package gear as standard even back to the 10-13 years

Yessir, This is merely an acknowledgement by the design engineers that the vehicle (any petro vehicle for that matter) is not designed to idle for extended periods of time. If they can get more maintenance revenue out of the acknowledgement (because most GX owners are not going to do it themselves even though it's super easy) for the dealers, all the better.
