Got my 2" Dobinsons lift, Dobinsons Control arms and Treaty Oak KDSS Spacers in finally!!!
Now debating on Tire size. Its going to be a daily driver.
Kyle from Treaty Oak suggested I stick with 32" (275/65/18) tires... the local off road shop that specializes in toyota/lexus offroading insists I run a 33" (275/70/18) tire.
I dont want the smaller tires to leave me wanting more aesthetically (part of all this is to look cool right?) but I dont want the larger tires to affect the daily drive negatively and make me regret the decision. Im assuming that since the off road shop suggested the 33's they can make them fit without issue...
sine you're 2" lifted I would absolutely go with the bigger tire, if you look at my tire comparison thread (in my signature line) the forum member DesiOChas that size tire and it looks great with his 2" lift. the 65's are good for a stock height (i love how it looks on my wifes 2019). In terms of daily driveability, the 70 series size is still not that far off from stock (5%+/-) so I doubt you'll see that much of an impact outside on high altitude and long hills, I wouldn't give it a second thought!
a few picks of his ride, there are others with his 2" lift but i cant seem to find them.
IMHO width is totally immaterial ... overall diameter IS material to fill out the wheel wells, especially with a lift ... so just go with an aspect ratio accordingly. From a width standpoint ... for me ... 275's are best.
I suppose it would be an option but i'd love to get as wide a tire as possible.
Wondering if using some spacers to move the wheels/tires out would allow for a 285?
Contrary to logic ... increasing negative offset does not improve interference clerance ... sometimes makes it worse specific to the front body mount. Many posts on this subject.

Unlike some vehicles (older 4Runners and Land Cruisers) the 1.25 wheel spacer option does not really work for unlifted GX's from what I have read. It seems the wheel spacer may give more room on the inside of the tire, but it then conflicts with the fender and bumper. Now on a 2" lifted GX this may be different, but it seems the body panels on the GX just don't lend them selves to wheel spacers on stock wheels. I would just get the 275's and do the little bit of massaging needed to get those to fit with a 2" lift (again look at what DesiOC did, seems minimal)
