Why do dealership list vehicles on their website that were pre-sold? It's extremely annoying!

To get you in the dealership and sell you something you didn't initially wanted to get. It's just the nature of the game.

Does that actually work with anyone? I just don't see how anyone trying to buy a GX would just get a RX because it's there.

I wouldn't say people getting a completely different model, but perhaps a different package, trim, color (interior and exterior), and/or model year. They advertised all the 2022 GX coming in, in 4 dealerships, only for me to find out they're all spoken for. Then I get the follow up from them saying that they do have this or that 2021 GX available.

Everyone should heed this sage’s advise. This is true with any good or service where a salesperson has to sell you something. This is how I trained commissioned sales people.

Hello, new here. Looking to pick up a GX in a month or two, we'll see how close I can get to preferred colors & options. Doesn't seem like too many coming in with the ML sound system.

Default Just picked up 2022 gx!

Lucky it delivered on my wifes bday!
currently has leased 21 gx white/red on July. Just drove 4months and upgraded to 22 Gx.
I wasnt able to find good lease deal this time, so purchased under MSRP.
i am at socal Los Angeles Area. Most dealers wont give you under msrp, but i talk to same sales that i leased on July, he gave me under MSRP. If you need his info, i love to share he will take care. Please let me know.
still disappointed that apple car play works when it hooked up with usb cable… oh man. Really? My other car works wireless. Also if mp3 file is not english, cant display foreign language. But my other car will take any kinds of language.
well, except that, gx is great car, so no complain.
had 06 gx for 15years, and switch to 21 gx and switch to 22 gx. That how much i love GX.

Did you take a bath from returning the lease so early?

Hello - Congrats on your GX! Would you mind sharing the salesperson's name or dealership?
Thank you in advance!

My point is that if one waits until their current vehicle is dead-and-gone on the side of the road ... then the immediate market conditions will be imposed, which is not something a buyer can change. So for me, I anticipate a purchase and time based on the market conditions, the time of the year, incentives, interest rates, and the quarterly timing (last day) and the time of day walking into the dealership. Best to arrive 2-3 hours before closing on the last day of the quarter given meeting and beating sales quotas is a huge motivation for the dealership to drop the BS tactics and close the sale before the clock runs out.

Exactly. Got a 6 YO RX300 with 52k miles for $15,500 on last day of 2008 bc its CPO warranty would be void it didn't get sold that day (along with helping them make their yearly numbers).
(FWIW that CPO saved me several additional thousands when they replaced the transmission under the CPO in year 3 of my ownership).
