I put a deposit on mine (premium plus sport design w/ captains chairs, black onyx w/ nuluxe) on 9/22. I received my 'allocation' on 12/4. My friend works for Toyota corporate and sent me data from Toyota Motor Sales US. The car arrived to the US (Port of Seattle I believe on 12/23. Shipped on 12/29 and arrived in the rail yard (St. Paul, MN) on 1/6/22. I'm still waiting to hear from the dealer to take delivery. My buddy told me that port processing times (even in the midwest) are really slow.
Does anyone have input on deleting the chrome? The grill is too intricate to wrap. I wanted the black line and ML, but also the captains chairs and was told you can't get that with the black line.

Dear Members,
FYI. I just gave in to the worst car deal in my life.
2022 GX460 MSRP $64,020
12K mi/yr, 39 mo lease
Down Payment: $5,500
Monthly: $895
Same deal as my 2020 BMW X7 with $84K MSRP.
Hope you guys get better deals. I was in a rush.

NEW GX460 - 2022 Buyer Inquiry
Hello team,
Thank you for having me in this group. I don't own the GX460 but I'm test driving one next weekend and I'm also in their waitlist for the next incoming vehicle's list.
I wonder if anyone can help me clarify just a few things for me.
In this crazy market the dealer has agreed to sell the GX460 - 2022 (Preimium) at MSRP + Dealer addendums (Listed in the below sheet, tint, nitro fill, etc.)
I asked the sales rep since the car is not in the lot yet and it's an incoming new vehicle that I would like to take off some of those dealer's addendums that can be a deal breaker if they can't be.
As of now, I'm thinking the followings are unneccessary for me since either I don't need or I have places that does them at lower cost.
-Nitro Fill
-Resitall
-Window Tint
-Apex Protection (Does anyone what in the heck is this?) <------
I said if those can be removed that I will put the $1000 deposit to be put in the wait list. What do you guys think?
Thank you all in advance!
SIDE NOTE- What are some of the must do first mods I should be looking into as far as making the vehicle more efficient. Some of the things that I'm thinking is to change the interior lights to LED bulb, Window tint, there is a tutorial video on how to add this little cable to automatically fold mirrors when locking and unlocking.
What are other things that is a must for you? Feel free to share photos!

I would see if they would remove all of these, but due to current market conditions they may say if you don't take them, someone else will.
-Nitro Fill - This is free at Costco and other tire dealers
-Resitall - another paint coating that is not needed over clearcoat
-Window Tint - the 2 front windows can be done at an indy shop for 1/2 this charge (or less)
-Apex Protection - extended warranty, not needed when new car warranty is in effect, and if you feel you need one, can be shopped and purchased prior to new car warranty expiring

Unfortunately if you want that particular GX, or probably any GX from Hennessy you’ll have to pay for those. It’s so bad in the southeast that a lot of Lexus dealers are no even selling to customers outside of their immediate area. I had to go to DC to get mine without the add ons. They have the upper hand here. If you’re willing to travel you can find a dealer that will sell for MSRP with no purely profit dealer adds.

Why not just finance at that point? Whats done is done though. Enjoy it while you have it!

I got mine at msrp plus sales tax and dmv. U also should ignore that payment estimate sheet. Its a scam. There are hidden stuff in there. Go get your own financing first. Dont ever overpay.

I got my 2022 GX Premium at MSRP. I was offered all of the extras that you list and turned all of them down. The only fee I paid after tax and DMV was an administrative fee of $125., the cost that most dealers charge for their doing business with you and handling your state taxes, license transfer, etc. Actually this was one of the most painless car buying experience I have had. With the unusual market now with parts, shipping, etc., I was happy at buying my GX at sticker. You should not have to pay for all of the add on's your dealer is mentioning on a vehicle that is not even in on the lot. There are many Lexus dealers who will sell you a GX without the hassle of draining every cent they can get out of you. Even if you have to go out of state you can figure the extra travel cost vs dealer rip off.

what have they said to you once you turned the dealer's accessories down? Did they just agreed right away? Just trying to get an idea on what to do if they say that I have to do it but that they'll discount or some sort of plan B
thanks!

Well we ended up purchasing the Starfire Black Line that we put a deposit on after walking away from the other one at a different dealership. The experience at this dealership was night and day compared to the other. There were ZERO dealer add-ons or market adjustments and they gave us $2K more for our trade-in than the other dealer was offering in November. There was no pressure during the entire transaction and I was able to get a rate through Lexus that was lower than our credit union. This thing is so smooth and quiet compared to the Acura RDX we traded for it. I think the wife will enjoy it.

I had originally leased my '21 in July which had a $58K sticker for
$1500 cash at signing
39mos
12k mi
$606/mo
My '22 has a $62K sticker
$2500 cash at signing
39mos
12k mi
$637/mo
I was trying to finish the deal in December, but the car was still in transit, so I had to use the January program which has a higher MF.
