I don't see supply getting better yet this year but hopefully I'm wrong. The local Lexus dealers are getting less GX's that last year from what I'm seeing.

I agree, I believe we are 12+ months away from supply beginning to increase. I may just wait for the 2023 order banks to open this fall and wait for one. I am in no rush whatsoever.

Not at all.. although the operating costs with premium fuel are expensive. The cost of the vehicle as compared to the competition is lower so overall costs are likely close to the same. If gas prices go to $6 or $7 per gallon and oil to $150 a barrel, it might actually be to my benefit to wait. I can't see these being sold with ADM or at MSRP prices at that point.

The timing just wasn't right for me. I don't NEED a car, it is more of a WANT. I need to wait until the fall I think.

Was able to put a deposit down on a GX luxury w/ off road package last week that was the final unclaimed one of their recent allocation. Dealer said it just arrived in Long Beach and should arrive at the dealership mid-late March by train. At MSRP - no mark ups or hidden add ons. Houston-area dealer.

I spoke to multiple dealers in the area - all were selling at MSRP but you had to put down fully refundable deposits (ranging from $500-$2500) to hopefully get one on the upcoming allocations. Said they get new allocations every 10 days for the next 90 days worth of deliveries.

Gas might hit $5 a gallon. Over $100 to fill and will definitely dent demand. Love for a vehicle is one thing but when it costs like 60 to 70% more per fill up, sentiments will quickly turn.

I think most folks who want a GX are not concerned with the price of gas. They are wanting a vehicle that is a true 4 WD that is luxurious and dependable. There are electric vehicles that may fit this niche, but the infostructure for providing power to these vehicles is not yet in place to provide a smooth ride from point A to point B across the country in a timely fashion. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I definitely care about the MPG, but it was like 4th or 5th on my criteria when buying a new vehicle. So, I guess you can say I'm concerned, but not as concerned. Haha.

Default Toyota Shuts Down 14 Plants in Japan

Just read a email from Road & Track magazine that Toyota has shut down all production in its 14 Plants in Japan due to a cyberattack. Does not effect any plants in America. Didn't say when operations will resume.

I don't think this will be limited only to Toyota or Japanese plants in the coming months...

Toyota said it will suspend all domestic factory operations on Tuesday losing around 13,000 cars after a company supplying plastic parts and electronic components was hit by a suspected cyberattack. https://www.autonews.com/automakers-...it-cyberattack

Does this mean it affects Lexus' operations as much as Toyota's?

I imagine it will, since the GX 460 is built at the Toyota Tahara plant along with the 4Runner, Prado and other models.

Default 22 gx

Well I put a deposit on a luxury with the off-road package. Has ML, all weather mats, exhaust tip and a few other things. Paying MSRP. This will be my 6th GX. I'm still laughing at the dealers charging 5K+ over.
should arrive in a couple weeks.

What's the app or website to track the GX?
