2022 Lease/Purchase/Delivery

Anyone, should I look into an extended warranty for Lexus GX460 for peace of mind?, though I never in my life bought extended warranty on any new car and really no issues. Also my lexus IS200t from 2017 has no issues to date. I know all the reviews mostly say these 460's are workhorses based on a 10-yr truck on body frame etc and wont break down until maybe after 200k miles.

I made this post in May and have been looking on and off since. I've probably contacted 15 dealers from California to Wisconsin to South Carolina. Every dealer either wants over MSRP or is not willing to sell out of state. I am not willing to pay over MSRP or for dealer add-ons but am willing to wait however many months it takes to find the right vehicle through the allocation process. I'm all ears if anyone has new dealer/salesperson recommendations.

Mazderati,
when you say you're not willing to pay over MSRP , is that tax and fees included out the door OR MSRP max plus taxes and fees atop of the MSRP (assuming bringing your own funds and no dealer financing)? I think if i went with dealer financing they wouldve lowered it a bit since they get paid also on the back end with dealer financing

I offered $65k initially OTD with taxes included but I didnt get the sense they would bite/budge. Inventory been tight around here for the trim and color we wanted. I just did the $71k, which is like extra $3k. plus I didnt want to spend hours negotiating for $65-69k range, just spent 2 hours total in and out. i was thinking of waiting for '23 models, but unknown if it'll be redesigned somehow too (i want the v8 and the current truck on 4/runner/prado frame design). i just bit the bullet and paid $3k more basically.
i suppose you can get dealer financing and pay it off in your own fund right away assuming no pre payment penalty and still pay "cash" but you got a lower overall cost because you used their financing which they get a cut of on the back end which makes the deal work for them. inventory is another matter, so you may not get the color / trim you wanted. the sales guy told me beg sept they plan to see the new '23 models roll in. i wanted to lock in the 2022 model.

Anyone place an order for a 2023 GX460? Looks like no major changes for the 23, the 2024 will probably be the redesign. We're in the market and inventory of the 2022 models seems a bit scarce and you'll never find the color/seating/options combo you want. Too bad they got rid of the red for 23, even though you would never find a red 22 anyway =/

If yours came into the Long Beach Port plan on a month after the Monroney was created. Mine actually took 5 weeks and arrived at the dealership on 11/19.
You can find your Monroney here:

It appears that the API's that drove that process have been killed off for anonymous access as you now get an "Unauthorized" HTTP response so it's no longer possible.
