Default Someone please Help

Hello
I can’t sleep. My wife and I bought a 2016 GX 460 today and I am having a hard time believing what the dealer has told me about the warranty we purchased so I found this forum but have not found an answer.
Dealers says there is 20 months left on factory warranty, after that is a (L/Certified limited warranty for 24 more months unlimited miles) then starts extended L/Certified Vehicle Service Agreement that with purchased for 5years 60 months unlimited miles.
This gives us coverage until February 2027 unlimited miles. This just seems to good. All of our paperwork is on a thumb drive and I guess the fine print is in there. Can anyone tell me if this sounds right?
If it is I think I’m going back and buying another one!
thanks in advance
Dallas

you have 4 years/ 50k miles factory warranty when the vehicle was new which is 2016. So you have 20 month left for factory warranty. And the L/Certified warranty covers and additional 2 year/unlimited miles. So you have until 2022 ish. Any additional coverage would be an extra cost.

If 10 years out then some 3rd party warranty.... No Lexus warranty even from new takes one out that far AFAIK... that being said.. you purchased one of the most reliable vehicles on market today

Default Extended warranty?

Hello, everyone - I am in the process of purchasing a certified pre-owned 2016 with 40k miles. The dealer is offering a "bumper to bumper" extended warranty for 2 years/$2000. Is it worth it? Does anyone have experience using one of the Lexus vehicle service contracts?

I should also mention this would cover the 2 years after the Lexus certified pre-owned warranty expires, which is in about 4 years.

I'd pass on it myself with the existing coverage you are getting.

Remember the original powertrain warranty is 6 years/70k miles too.

People dump money into these on mods not repairs. :-)

does it have a mileage limit?
i ended up purchasing one. i was in the same boat, factory warranty hadn't expired. then got the CPO extended warranty on that. then purchased the extended warranty. it was worth the peace of mine that for the next 6 years unlimited mileage i was covered. while some parts of the vehicle are cheap to fix, other parts are not. such as headlights (covered), radio/nav, seats, electronics....

I would like to ride on this thread as well. Got a 2016 CPO that is covered until 2021 and is being offered an extended 5 year warranty until 2026 for $2,800. Is it worth it?

Is this Lexus or 3rd party?

Unlimited mileage?

What does it say in the limitations area of contract? They all have something even it says oil changes and brake pads.

From the dealer, unlimited mileage. Haven't had the chance to go through the details yet, as they gave me a month to think about it.

I'd be a little leery...

Which Lexus dealer is this? Seattle, Bellevue or Fife?

Lexus of Seattle. Offered by the finance person during signing.

If you can post details that would help... they are a solid dealership but if they change hands it may void it as well. I've only had positive experiences with them.

If one has multiple repairs one will easily get their money back. I got back around $7-8K in repairs on a $1800 Infiniti extended warranty. Will one get a return on a GX warranty? ... IMO... probably not.. you might break even but piece of mind has value too.

I purchased my 2012 2.5 years ago. My credit union offered an extended warranty, not unlimited mileage, but up to 100k. It was through Mercury Insurance. They ended up covering a valve cover oil leak fixed at the dealer. I just gave the dealer the extended warranty info and the service advisor took care of the rest. I was super easy.

tl;dr: Mercury Insurance extended warranty worked with no hassles.
