if the scratches arent below the top color a lap or polish should work. when i worked in the tribology lab we did paint reliability tests all the time and would see at what point a lap or polish would no longer work.
if you can remove scratches from a plastic headlamp assy why not from this paint? this paint is way lower durometer than the headlamp assy

I’ve seen a few documentaries on Tribology. But the Tribologists that I’ve met in real life never look like the ones from the documentaries.

I just think it’s crazy Lexus doesn’t have a repair paint option for this. Like not even a color code? Basically I was told to just order from Amazon and color match on your own, good luck! Super annoyed by that lol!
