I am one of the people who actually like the barn/swing gate. But that split tail gate would have been so sweet to have on the GX. Really is the one thing I covet in the LX/LC, but I imagine it is soon a thing of the past in all but the Range Rovers.

I wouldn't mind a 200 series but the 460 is a squeeze in my garage as-is so a non-starter. :-)

I totally agree
I was a bit concerned about the swing rear door based on reviews and that we tow a trailer, but we actually prefer the swing door over the lift gate we had on our 4Runner. Also clearance when opening with our trailer attached is no problem.
BUT the split tailgate would have been great.

I too was disappointed by the ventilated seats. I agree the GX wasn’t great but compared to the LC they were at least noticeable.

Legroom - it’s slightly better. My issue with the GX was the challenge of using a rear facing car seat behind the driver seat. I’m 6’1 so if I did that on the GX the driver seat would have to be way forward. The LC200 doesn’t really solve this problem since I still need to move the driver seat uncomfortably forward for myself. Fortunately I was just able to switch my child to forward facing so problem solved.

Thanks for the reply. The legroom is something I’ll have to address in my 460. We take very long road trips and I need a bit more. As for the rear facing seat we put that behind the passenger and had zero trouble with the room. However my wife’s 470 was a bit cramped with the rear facing seat on the passenger side. So much so the handle of the seat damaged our headrest dvd screen. The ventilation in these must suck across the board. The seat ventilator in my Grand Cherokee was awesome as was the legroom and seat comfort.

Not yet no, it’s on my list. I’ll give those a try first before I seek alternatives involving the seat track.

I would trade my '22 GX for a low-mileage LC 200-series any day of the week. Haha. I begged my wife to let me get a used LX or LC but she would much rather I bought a brand new GX and save some money. I don't regret it, but my first choice was to wait for a TRD Pro Tundra or an LX/LC. Oh, well... I guess I'll be slumming it in a GX. (sarcasm) Haha.

I was surprised at how similar the interiors between the '13 LC and the '13 GX look - save for fussy third row in the LC. Funny he mentions the LC lacks the euro badges, but in a place like Nantucket or Martha's vineyard, its not just that less flashy is preferred, as he mentions, but that a LC also signals that you effortlessly, and tastefully, well off. A bit of noblesse oblige if you will. A Toyota Yaris is also not flashy but no way would a LC driver ever be caught dead in one.

Hahaha. Facts. I feel like driving Euros is the owner/driver seeking attention or trying to make a statement about their financial capabilities... or maybe I'm just friends with the wrong sort. Haha.

Buddy of mine is a well placed attorney. Guy in his neighborhood is also a client of his firm. Guy rolls in a G63AMG, 170k vehicle. Guy also can’t pay his legal bills but loves to look the part of a high roller.

Friend of mine is worth at least 50 million, drives a 2007 F150 extra cab. He needs to please nobody or impress nobody.

Buddy just got his wife a 2021 GX460 to replace their 2015 GX460 because he needed a tax write-off. He can drive anything he wants, worth at least 10 million.

I ain’t rolling that deep but could easily drive a LX570 but refuse to pay that much for a vehicle.

Honestly, I see folks in the ultra high end cars and I have to wonder what their ledger sheets look like. Too many folks live beyond their means.

You are talking to a guy who only buys used But hey, it ain't my place to tell others how to spend their cash. And if they really enjoy and appreciate what they have, realize how fortunate they are, and don't take what they have for granted, I have no problem with them spending whatever.
