2021 LED turn signal conversion - road block
So I've been reading different forums trying to find an elegant way to ad LED turn signal, with out having the extra resistors.
Found the thread that showed how to change the resistance inside the flasher relay.
So I got all parts before checking where the relay is located.
Today I opened up the panels and could not find the flasher relay, only the towing converter (attached picture)
Then I started the GX and tried to locate the flasher sound, and it sounds like it come from the instrument panel.
Any one aware if Lexus has changed/moved away from the relay and using the instrument cluster and have the flasher in another control unit?
I apologize in advance if this has been answered before.

Parts listing says you have a flasher relay or what is shown in that image which I assume is a more heavy duty flasher.

Just buy LEDs with the proper resistor built in.
SIRIUSLED 7440 Anti Hyper Flash Built-in load resistor True 25W Yellow
SIRIUSLED 7440 Anti Hyper Flash Built-in load resistor True 25W Yellow
How does these perform when on for longer time?

I believe member HZAO confirmed the flasher is built into the cluster. We are SOL when it comes to a simple flasher swap.
GXBOB on YouTube tested AUXITO turn signal LEDs and even after being on for about 8-10 minutes, they did not hyperflash. However in his case, there is an additional variable in the form of aftermarket headlights that have LED turn signals built-in.
Try them off Amazon and let us know? Since these specific bulb weren't listed on Amazon.ca, my plan was to get the VLEDS resistors rather than the typical cheap Chinese junk. There is enough ventilation in the engine bay where I wouldn't worry too much about the heat they generate.

Soapbox time.
It is unfathomable that a luxury manufacturer has incandescent bulbs in 2015 much less 2020+. Absolutely ridiculous.
Ok I’m off my box.

Don't get off that box, it is 100% unacceptable for Lexus to be using incandescent bulbs. They no doubt have millions of the things and are trying to use them up.

did you try the leds without resistors to see if there was even any issue? if going away from resistive temp cswitching, to say an ecu with digital timing, there wouldnt be any flash issue. might get a warning depending on the rest of the system.

Interesting point, I wonder if someone could test and see what it looks like.
