Did Lexus drop the brown carpeting and lower plastics (door sills/seat mounting trim/cargo side plastic) in 2020?

We have a new GX on order with Sepia interior and am expecting complimenting brown carpet/plastics like our 2011 with Ecru had, so I ordered the Lexus floor liners and rear cargo mat in brown. The model years shown for the brown floor liners and mat was for up to 2019 model years, but I figured it was not updated, since the floor mats shape shouldn't be a different shape. Additionally, In the 2022 brochure 'Accessories' showing the rear cargo net shows brown carpet/plastics. However, from actual pictures of later GXs it seems all 2020+ models, regardless of seat color, have black carpets/plastics. Anyone with a 2020+ model year with brown carpeting/lower plastics in brown?

Our 2021 with Sepia interior the dealer supplied black rubber mats (front & 2nd row) and the rear cargo rubber liner is also black. I asked about getting the rubber mats to match the sepia interior but in Canada only black is available (double checked with parts dept). I opted to buy aftermarket https://www.smartliner-usa.com/ front & second row all weather mats, the rear cargo mat is excellent so I can live with it being black.

So is the carpeting and lower door plastics/sills/cargo area brown on yours? I've been looking at pictures of GXs for sale at cars.com and every new 2021-2020 GXs with Ecru/Sepia interior have all black carpeting, door lower plastics, sill plates, cargo carpet/side plastics and rear sing door panel. GXs up to 2019 pictured for sale in cars.com with Sepia or Ecru have all brown carpeting and plastics.

I can confirm that on the 2021 Sephia you have black floor liner, black lower plastic on doors and black plastic in trunk, I like that as better for scuff mark in trunk

Yes I agree, our 2021 Sepia has black carpet, and lower trim panels including the sill plates.

I wonder if this is when they made the front passengers padding above glove box black for all of the interior colors.

Wow, I didn’t realize they switched to black carpeting and trim on newer sepia and ecru. I would prefer the brown. I would also have preferred a more mocha color brown similar to Audi, BMW etc. in certain lighting the sepia has almost a slight purple hue, of course It could be my eyes:

Not sure why Lexus went to a single color. Perhaps it's a new trend (designer/fashion) or a way to save some ¥. My 2011 was Satin Cashmere with Ecru leather and the contrasting brown carpeting/plastics gave the impression that Lexus took the same steps as other premium auto makers. I was expecting the same brown carpet/lower plastics when we ordered (still waiting) our 2022 with Sepia. It was members pictures here that made me aware of the change (I've not seen the interior of a GX since selling ours in 2018).

After taking delivery of our 22' the black lower plastics/carpeting isn't a bad contrast with the Sepia seating/brown mid plastics. Perhaps if we had choose the lighter Ecru the brown contrasting would be more desirable than the black. I did purchase the matching black floor liners/rubber cargo mat rather than the brown.
