DON'T USE a WD system on those so called Class III 5K four bolt bumper mounted hitches. WD hitch needs to spread the weight and really needs a hitch that bolts to the frame and not just the rear bumper. Although you appear ok towing without WD, you will be over on the tongue weight as soon as you put anything in the camper.

The Class III hitch does bolt to the rear crossmember of the frame so it’s not bumper mounted.
Thanks for helping me out team. As I am in a tough situation and need to tow a RV. Not having the hitch is really driving me crazy. What do you guys think about the attached is it safe to talk with a class three? And no distribution hitch

It partially depends on how you load the trailer. The dry weight is 3100 lbs, add propane, up to 1000 lbs water (30 fresh, 36 grey, 36 black so a max of over 100 gallons) plus gear & food. This trailer could be 5000 lbs if loaded to max.
The gross weight is 3875. That includes everything you mentioned. Tongue weight is 375. This has to be safe. I don’t think I should have any issues. However I shouldn’t be going through this on the first place as 6500 is what is advertised by Lexus. I am just kind boggled. We should sue them

It wouldn't do any good as those with the deepest pockets win and Lexus has deeper pockets than we do.
Well...that rep hung up on me somehow (I wasn't yelling, cursing, or being disrespectful) and the next rep I talked to said there was no recall.
Lexus needs to get their head out of their a$$ and fix this situation! It's been 10 months now since they put a Stop Sale on the GX 460 hitch with a "soon" message on the parts website yet there still no hitch
@Acrad just posted that even the 2023 GX manual shows a Class IV hitch so where's the hitch at Lexus?!?!?! Are they seriously going to go an entire model year without having an integral part of the vehicle available for purchase yet advertise it's features the entire time?
This is honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle purchase between the hitch and the initial purchasing process along with initial service problems. I can't see myself purchasing another Lexus in the future at this point....oh well.
I was lucky enough to find someone at the Lexus dealership I purchased my used 2020 GX460 who sold me the Class IV receiver hitch from their 2021 GX460. He was the sales manager of the Lexus dealership and had their service department remove the hitch from his vehicle to mine at no charge for labor. Of course I paid way too much ($800) for the hitch itself. He stated that is what it would cost him parts and labor to replace it should he want the hitch in the future. That being said if there was some safety issue with the receiver hitch, the Lexus did the exchange. I doubt they would assume that liability for a known safety related issue. The fact that Lexus is not saying why there is a stop sale on the hitches concerns me greatly. Hopefully we will have some answers soon.
