We bought ours with the hitch installed already and it was a $550 add-on back in those days. I thought it was expensive as I could have ordered the part for probably half the price and installed it myself but the piece of mind with the factory installation and that it is registered with the installed tow hitch in the corporate database was worth the extra in my opinion. I did order the factory roof rack and installed it myself though.
At that time (or that dealer) it was not the dealer who installed the hitch, it was on the truck already when they unloaded it from the trailer. Not sure if it comes like that from the factory or they put it on at the port.

Longo Lexus has the PT22860140 hitch listed as available so I ordered one. I'm sure it won't ship but I tried anyway as it's 
Someone from Lexus called yesterday to ask how many miles I had on my GX and to ask who I've spoken with about getting a hitch. I told her under 4K and anyone that I could think of from dealership parts managers to Lexus corporate over the last 10 month...which was already in the notes for my original call. She's going to "investigate" and get back to me. I won't be holding my breath on that happening though as I've heard it before and never heard from them again.
ETA: Within 5 minutes of ordering the hitch they cancelled it.

Guys I’m in a bad spot. I did not know this hitch was not available. I’m retiring from the military and I have a special needs child with me that’s terminal that I’m trying to get a travel trailer for so we can safely get from point a to point B and I cannot find the hitch anywhere. I am looking for someone of you to sell me your hitch and I will compensate you. I understand if you cannot as everybody wants their hitch. But worth a try I guess thanks

I can’t explain how flustered I am brother. I’m in such a corner that I even tried to sell my SUV I just bought it and only has 2200 miles on it. I tried to swap it with the Toyota tundra and the Toyota folks are trying to give me the long one without any lube. They were offering me $58 000 for my 2022 and making me by a tundra for 72,000

I have really come to hate car dealerships and hope that all car manufacturers are able to move to the Tesla model in the future.
