As we’re all aware, Toyota has had a stop sale on these oe hitches. Wondering if anyone has any eta info? Or any additional info as to why? I’ve seen Jan ‘23 a few times now.

Also interested. Just picked up a new GX460 Lux, and the dealer would not sell or install this currently. No updated date from Lexus Corp, nor a reason why it was pulled. Frustrating.

Just bought a GX and was irritated I couldn't get the hitch. My sales guy just sent me this! It is dated today.

I just spoke with my dealer and they received an email from Lexus today - informing them the hitches can be ordered (limited to the 3 per week per dealer).

I spoke to two dealers today - both gave me the same information.

I should have my hitch on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

NICE! I’m assuming parts dept right? If so gonna have to wait to give them a call in the morning. FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH, Lexus Customer service stated to me that the GX hitches were halted due to an issue when the production process was altered, it caused some of the hitches to be “unsafe,” thus requiring Lexus to halt production and find out where the wrinkle was happening.

I tried but there are only 2 within 250 miles of me and they’re owned by the same group.

The nearest one the parts manager is out until Monday and the other one where I got my GX didn’t want to order it and have it sent to their sister dealership.

The stupidity continues for me.

I wish I could find it online from Wichita or anywhere with reasonable shipping as I’d just order it.

You have waited this long. I was the idiot who installed a Curt two weeks ago. 🤣

I installed the Curt a week or so after I bought my GX and plan on keeping it. I do not have a trailer or boat to pull but bought the Curt in case I needed to rent a U-Haul or maybe a trailer from Home Depot for a future project, etc. The Curt is fine for those who don't plan on using their GX to haul over 5K pounds.

Just went to the dealership for service and saw this. As of now the hitches are on backorder. So I paid and now I wait.

Just called Bell Lexus. They said they'll get 3 a week. I'm on the list for next week's allotment. A little over $500. Service wants $530 to install

Nice! But $530 labor to install!? Seems steep.

My dealer said they still have no ability to order or install yet as of 1/7. Grr.
