Mine had an inspection date of 10/27/22. Examined the product and instructions, can’t figure out what changed though.
also, recommend a 1/2” torque wrench. 65 ft lbs for the big bolts is a lot of force.
I ended up getting some good use out of my 24” breaker bar getting the OEM tie down hook unbolted too. Make sure you have something to get leverage with before you get started.
last tip — grease up the hanger on the exhaust with dielectric grease or something like that to make it easier to wiggle it off of the keeper. I struggled with an open ended wrench for longer than reasonable before I just decided to drop the exhaust.

also, recommend a 1/2” torque wrench. 88 ft lbs for the big bolts is a lot of force.

Don't you mean 65 ft lbs? That's the conversion from 88 Nm.
The only difference I noticed from the 2014+ installation instructions I found was that the 4x 45mm bolts were changed to 50mm for 6 total (still 2x 55mm on the center rear).

different bolts need different amounts of stretch. Lexus calls out 65 ft lbs for their supplied hardware. Whatever hitch you buy, torque to the product manufacturer’s spec.
I did my install today, yep, agreed that the package came with 6X M12 50 MM and 2X M12 55MM.
i tried to get to 65 ft lb's but i 'felt' the bolt started to yield a bit around 60-62 ft lbs as my torque meter started going down... i stopped at that..
I called 3 of my local steelerships,
one of them quoted 632.50 + tax
another quoted 786 including tax
and finally one quoted 575 plus tax.
seems like the going number might be 575... please dont let any of them add dealer markup...
i went ahead with the 575 one and they have to order it. told me to call him back on friday if i dont hear from them.
annoyed i left the hitch on my 2020 trade, that was bought and installed myself for ~275ish.. damn infotainment and premium plus ML got me..
I ordered mine from Nalley Lexus. $530 include the ball mount.

thanks for this post, local dealershop quoted me 750. They aso said Lexus is limiting them to 3 hitches per month so I can see why they could get away with such a high markup.
already gone this long waiting for a hitch i think ill hold off untill prices come down.
It still irks me that I was supposed to have had a hitch on my ordered GX for $565 installed at the port, however, in the end it cost me 15 months of waiting and $605 plus I have to install it myself as I'm not paying the dealership $500+ to do it when I have the tools and ability.
I really wish the hitch could be lower profile than it is. It really hangs down super far.
My gripe is with the wiring harness bracket -- given the fit and finish of everything else, it's at a goofy angle compared to the rest of the hitch and the bumper.
The installation was smoother than expected, I highly recommend using a proper exhaust hanger removal tool if you can.
It appears these are slowly trickling in to the dealerships. I picked mine up last night.
Just FYI, for those picking up from their dealerships vs having it shipped to your house. It's a very large box. Make sure the back of your GX is empty and second row folded and forward in order for the rear door to close properly.
