"Cracks in Subframe " ?? I hope to God this doesn't mean that Lexus is now cutting corners and using low grade Steel or cheap alloys in their Frames that we buy ...they better get a handle on this fast because I don't want to deal with class action suits and questioning the quality of a product I trusted ...this is scary
I hope someone from Lexus Corporate is watching this Thread and , they better start speaking up before the Media gets their hands on this

I wouldn’t believe anything being said by a dealership at the moment as they have no idea why the stop sale happened.

Stealerships lie even when the truth suits better. Lexus corp could care less about some Internet forum. Btw, there is no subframe, it's a frame. Again, the dealer is just making things up.

Crikey, I hope the dealer isn't right. It does sound fishy though since, as has been pointed out, there isn't anything that would normally be considered a sub-frame on these vehicles.

I tow a large camper and wanted to keep the full towing capacity vs. the smaller after market options which I am sure would be fine for a bike rack or smaller trailer. I didn't need to drop the exhaust, although it is certainly in the way I was able to just push it to the side. Dropping the spare tire made it easier, not required but I wish I had just done it right away for easier access. If purchasing a used hitch my advice is to make sure you also get the bracket for the lights, it is great that lexus has the wiring already in place but the bracket they install without the hitch needs to be removed and you need the one that comes with the hitch setup.

I too have the 2022 sport. When you say "remove a bit of trim," do you mean the little section of the rear lip spoiler that looks like it was made to be removed to accomodate a hitch reciever?

This is a 21 with the sport and hitch, the sport trim is designed for the hitch location.

Default 2022 class 3 hitch towing travel trailer is it safe?

Good morning guys,
I have a 2022 with a class 3 hitch looking to tow a camp trailer 2022 rock wood geo pro 20bhs with the specs below. Do y’all see any issues with me pulling this for safety. I do have weight distribution hitch. Thanks!

You are going to be really pushing it on a 5K class III hitch. By the time you are loaded with water and minimal supplies you are going to be close to max capacity of that hitch. I also would not recommend using a weight distributing attachment on a class III.

Default Thanks for replying

I was thinking the same. I found the attached hitch on Lexus web site that are charging me close to 300 to ship. It’s a 2020 class 4. Would it fit mine
?

Yes that is the one. I would jump on it if it's in stock.

I wouldn’t bother trying to order it as it’s not in stock. I am 99.9% certain of that.

I hope you get it but I wouldn’t hold my breath. I’ve been down this road several times over the last 10 months.

The general rule of thumb is if you can add 999 or more of them to your cart then they don’t actually have it.
