I'm planning to sell my 2020 GX460, just wanted some advice on recommended routes to sell a modified GX460. I tried a couple of online vendors like shift, true car, but the experience hasn't been great. Both of them turned out to be bait-and-switch practices. I'm wary about listing it on forums like craigslist due to potential scams. Are there companies that specialize in selling modified GX460s?

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Find a high-end local used car dealer that will sell on consignment ... otherwise as you indicated, deal with the riff-raff and take your chances.

Figuring my highly modified GX will sit in the driveway when replaced. The snorkel is definitely going to be an issue with resale. GXOR seems to be a better place to find interest.

Remove the mods and sell it stock, you'll get more money for it and a greater audience, plus you can recoup some money from the removed mods. Perhaps there is someone with the same color GX who wants a snorkel and you can swap front fenders with them, giving them the snorkel for free just to get an uncut factory painted fender (unless your snorkel is just for looks and the fender was not cut). If this was a 470 I think you'd get more money for it modded.

Try posting on a marketplace here, since there are many GX enthusiasts on this forum. Also try the FB Marketplace, it seems like a really good place to buy and sell stuff nowadays.
Also you can try and see if online marketplaces like Carvana or Vroom can offer you something good (given the market today, i've seen where the offers were pretty generous for various cars, sometimes more than the original purchase price).

Just sold a modified BMW 5 series (rare 6 speed manual, special ordered) on Craig's List. Had it listed on the BMW forums but the buyer found it on CL and traveled 200 miles to purchase.

Why would anyone pay $60k for a 2020 with that miles when like you said a 2022 brand new with zero miles and full warranty is the same $$$
