2023 RX engine specs have been released, will be interesting if next gen GX will go on RX/NX engine lineup or LX/Tundra/Sequoia

RX line up

RX350 - 2.4L inline 4 Turbo, 275hp/317lb-ft (8speed)
RX350h - 2.5L inline 4 hybrid, 246hp/233lb-ft (ECVT)
RX450h - supposed to be like Rav4 Prime (plug in hybrid)
RX500h - 2.4L inline 4 Turbo + Lexus hybrid electric drive, 367hp/406lb-ft (6speed)

This will be just fine in a Hybrid GX. All the other powertrains from the RX can be ignored

I thought the general consensus was that it would get de-tuned version of the 3.5 found in the Tundra SR?

Strange. I got an email from Lexus saying that there will be an all-electric RX.

Maybe coming later as Toyota is pushing full EV lineup.

That’s big news if it’s true. I thought 23MY would be the final year for the 150 platform.
The only time I remember Toyota skipping a model year is Scion xB from 2006 to 2008MY.

Yeah it'd be interesting. I would have bet anything on the new infotainment being around for at least 2 MY as redoing it for a single MY just seems like a huge waste of time and money by Lexus.

If true, I'm really glad I got in on the V8.

I've said this in other threads here before, and I stand by my opinion today, I agree with KK that this GX (especially an untainted/un-modded one) will become very desirable. I'm also glad the next gen will be coming soon. If it's good, I don't know... maybe I'll get one of those, too. I might not agree in the direction vehicles in general are going, but it could still be cool. However, for the one car I would like to keep until I'm old and grey, it's my '22 GX.

I may have something about '23 in about a week and it isn't that there won't be a '23 model year. Will it be a short run? I can't say.
