I bet sale of the current model will end at the fall of 2023. We would have heard something about the GX460 not having a 2023 by now if the timeline is accurate. If 2022 was the last model yr for the 460, Lexus absolutely did not have to redo the infotainment. They ignored people for 11yrs, ignoring them for 1 more yr wouldnt have made a difference.

Even if they produce the 460 for anther yr, it is still only 2 yrs with the new infotainment. Will still be a rare beast and I'm glad I got one.

I'm sure the '22 is nice, but sorry mate, it is clear that the '13 MY will be the Unicorn year everyone will want. Less than half of them made than in any '14+ MY. It is the newest version of the pre makeover - so way better approach and departure angles, everyone of them have the sweet scarlet tails, power third row, and most of them with semi-aniline leather- and if not, its regular leather, not NuLux. All of them with self dimming, power side windows.

What’s new with the ‘23? Hope they keep the CD player.

Me too, some of us "old farts" have a large collection of CD's that we still listen to

It’s really unnecessary though since you can just rip them as WAV or FLAC and play them from a single 256GB+ thumb drive.

That's what I ended up doing after waiting for close to 6 months for a '22MY with no end in sight (I wanted specific trim with specific interior color and specific packages and all the dealer was getting was colors I didn't like and packages I didn't need). So I went the LX570 way and I'm as happy as a fat kid in a candy store being left alone! LOL

Oddly it looks like the three row LC300 and LX600 has the same cargo space as the current GX460 11.6 / 46.7 / 64.7 cubic feet. Not sure if that is due to measuring differently but I wonder if that means the next gen GX will have a smaller interior? Seems odd that the full size SUV has the same cargo capacity as their mid size.

I was incredulous when I read your post, as I was hot to trot on getting an LX, but then I checked the Lexus websites for both.

The specs for "Cargo volume behind front/second/third row seats" don't make any sense to me.
GX- -64.7 / 46.7 / 11.6 cu ft
LX- -64 cu ft / 44 cu ft / —
(they show "--" for cargo volume behind third row seats for the LX.)

The data above and below are copy/paste from the Lexus website. It can't be smaller? The interior dimensions for the LX are definitely larger.

e.g. Shoulder room (front row/second row/third row)
LX- - 61.4 / 58.8 / 56.1 in
GX- - 55.4 / 57.3 / 54.5 in
Maybe some of our experts can decipher the info.

By the way, have you taken a look at the "cargo volume" behind the third row seats (and how they fold down!) on the new Sequioa? You gotta look at their pictures to fully appreciate how funky that setup is. 2023 Toyota Sequoia - Toyota USA Newsroom

Think I'll hold on to my GX's for a while.
