Default Clock Time Zone Change

Just got back from a great trip to NW Colarado. Lots of snow driving. I live in the Central Time Zone and when entering the Mountain Time Zone my clock did not change. How do you set the clock to change time when entering different time zones?

I went to Menu - Settings - Clock and my clock is set for the Central Time Zone. The GPS is set to Auto. When I drove from Texas to New Mexico I expected the time to automatically go back an hour but it did not.

I now see that I can change the GPS to Other and then I can use the + or - to manually change the hour. Why did my hour not change when the GPS was set for Auto ?

The other option is to go into the clock settings and just change the time zone from Central to Mountain. That would be less steps but still would like the clock to change time zones automatically.

Mine asks me if I want to change the time because I just entered a new time zone. It’s always done that so I’m not sure what settings are required.

Look under the navigation settings, I am just guessing but the GPS is what would identify your location there may be a time zone setting in there.

There is a time zone setting for the GPS where you can manually set the time zone which mine is set for Central. There is also a setting for the GPS to be either "AUTO" which mine is set at, or OTHER which in this mode you can manually set the hour or minutes with a + or -. Maybe there was prompt on the screen when I entered another time zone, and I did not see it. That is possible as I was driving and not looking at my navigation screen when I crossed over into another time zone.

The GPS auto time set correctly sets the exact minute, my otherwise rational bride likes
to set the clocks 5 minutes ahead...so she's always early...
Only the latest Lexi will automatically set for Day Light Saving time. "On" is for summer
and "Off" DLS is for winter...except AZ of course.
Time Zone can be selected and most Lexi will alert you that you have crossed the line.
Even those with Auto Time Zone will ask if you want to make the update. Seems to be
most useful to anyone that lives and commutes back and forth.

I guess I did not see the update nor was I looking at the Info Screen when I crossed the time zone. Will not cross a time zone again until next October.

Default 2023 WiFi Hotspot?

Is it normal that you have go to settings and turn on the WiFi Hotspot each time after the vehicle is shutdown?
WiFi trial is still active and the owners manual doesn't address it.

Default Android Auto switching sources when volume is touched

A search says this is a thing, but I didn't find any solutions: AA reverts to my music app (VLC) anytime the volume is touched when using another app on my phone (e.g. Chirp audiobooks). Have any of you seen this and, better yet, solved it?

I'm using a Motorola MA-1 wireless AA device and will try a wired connection today.
