2022 GX460 - Elevated Roof Rails
#31
this is what I got. No major issues. Over all I’m pleased considering the price and the partial refund for crossbars I wasn’t planning on using.
I re-used the original Bolts from my GX not the bolts from the rack. I also used Permatex silicone windshield glass sealer in the bolt holes to water proof it. Good luck
thanks! Do you have the link? I can’t find these anymore…
This is what I got. The crossbars didn’t fit and they refunded me $$. That was added bonus as I wasn’t planning on using them anyways.

Darn well thanks for correcting me. I based it off another thread on here where the poster indicated they were the same, but didn't read down far enough where the poster then followed up later stating they weren't compatible. I did have a chance to put the GX470 rails on the roof for a rough mock-up feel, and did see it wasn't going to work. Close, but no cigar.

ALEXDEV------ Surprised you said 500lb. I thought the yakima skyline towers load is 165lb? I use Thule Square Crossbars and wrapped the front bar with paracord to eliminate the sound driving on highway. With my kayak stackers I get about 4-6 kayaks MAX. So the most weight I've had on them are 350lb on short trips. Regularly 250lb going 70mph -80mph.
I personally would not put RTT on these rails as they're really not designed for it.
Hope this helps

Resurrecting this convo lol so correct me if I’m wrong, my Yakama HD bars each individually have a load capacity of 250lbs, so if I have 2 on that’s 500lbs. Now, I plan on installing OE Blackline rails, so how does that factor in my load capacity? What’s the official #s? I’d probably tie them together using Yakima Timberline, so then there’s also figuring that capacity also. Anyone know the actual formula to follow here? Planning on the occasional RTT trip in the near future

If you go to the blackline rails, the dynamic (in motion) weight limit is 176 lbs, doesn't matter what the crossrails are rated at, you'd need your RTT to be less than 176 lbs (all in - including bedding, mounting hardware, etc) - this is the reason I upgraded from the blackline rails to a full roof rack - I went with Southern Style Offroad, which I believe has a dynamic weight limit of ~400 or 500 lbs.
