They still don't auto-fold, as of the '23 model, but there are aftermarket modules to enable this.

What does that mean? Fold when you hit park of turn off engine?

I think that is setting on my Cadillac, but I don't use it. Need to fold em before I drive into the tight spot...

Not sure an aftermarket thing would work on the GX?; the switch is a hard, physical rocker switch with "folded" and "extended" positions. Not a spring-backed button.

Most modern Lexus models will fold the mirrors in when the vehicle is locked, but the GX has no such option. The aftermarket modules work fine on the '23's, and it was one of the first things I did to mine. They just go inline using an OBDII connector and are hidden away inside the steering column. The only downside is that they cause the vehicle's alarm to go off at the end of the remote start timeout cycle. That's not a big deal to me, but is to some folks.

Buying a stock vehicle is a smart move because you know it hasn’t been modified or mistreated. You can then customize the lift and other mods to fit your needs and preferences. Just be careful with versions that have adaptive suspension or complex electronic systems if you plan to lift it and go off-road, as these can make modifications more complicated.
