Queen size inflatable squeezes in to fill the entire back end. Due to the mid row seats not sitting flush makes a full platform sort of a pain to deal with. Waiting for others to chime in regarding the removal of the entire third row seating to allow a storage system to be placed in the void space where third row used to occupy.
I'm curious about removing both second and third row seats.
We use a trimmed down tempurpedic mattress and it ok, but really want the storage for extended periods.
It's a pain to move everything to the front seats every evening and morning.
I know we could put equipment outside on racks, but really want everything simple and out of sight.
We have a plate system for your vehicle. Once the plate system is in then you can mount combinations of our drawers, icebox or camp chef products enhancing your in camp comfort and organization. You would need to remove the third row of seats for this set up but no need to touch your second row of seats with this route.
I went and test drove a 2016 GX the other day, and although the car was beautiful, I was disappointed to see that the seats in the back do not lay flush when they are laid down. I had hoped to sleep in the back of the GX while camping, but not sure about that now. I am not interested in buying an insert that creates a flat seating area. Just curious if others bought the GX for car camping and how they overcame this (possibly minor) issue?
I've slept in mine and it isn't ideal but isn't terrible. I put large blanket under an air mattress towards the rear to level it out. With a 5" litespeed full mattress in there, there isn't a ton of headroom but it was doable.
John00 - the second row seats, when laid down, are not flush with the third row and the rear cargo area. They are elevated a bit. It's not as bad as my current vehicle (2005 Acura MDX) but certainly noticeable.
