Default Fluid Film And Surface Shield - where not to spray

I’ve watched several YouTube videos so far… but thought I’d ask this from the forum.

Any places that I should *not* spray fluid film under the Gx?

even though fluid film seems safe for runners and plastics, I’ve read of other forums where swelling occurred (particularly in door seals) .. so will stay away from everything non metal.

also will not do any of the exhaust items because I’m guessing that will just eventually burn off…

are there any other areas to be clear from?

Im probably going to, silicone spray my plastics like bushings … so overspray doesn’t hit the plastics as much.

-thanks guys!

I just bought a new to me 2014 and it seems like years ago they applied an oil based protector. Now everything is just covered in a greasy dirty film. I’m contemplating if I should pay over a grand to have it washed and a new sealer approved or if I should just buy one of those under car sprayers that attaches to your power washer.

Some people do coat their undercarriages in oil (used motor oil) which I never understood … fluid film is lanolin or wax based. It protects items by creating a physically barrier (film) to encapsulate the item and prevent oxygen (and road treatments) from coming into direct contact with the surface)
