I had the Air Down Gear Up (ADGU) SS1 kit with slide out tables installed in my 2022 GX 460. I requested a couple of upgrades, which are outlined below.

Placed the order in May and I drove up from Texas to ADGU in Ft Collins and had them install the setup in late July (then made my way to Glacier National Park).

I asked ADGU if they could configure my setup to take advantage of the 3rd row power and enable use in the rear storage area. While they hadn’t done this in the GX, they agree to investigate and come up with a solution. They sent me some design ideas prior to my visit, which I was able to approve before installation.

The final solution included using a Blue Sea 4366 panel and power taps made by THEOZMAN (see the GX460/PRADO150 forum (in iH8mud) for more information). With this setup, I can easily get up to 25-30A from the 4366 and power my Dometic cooler and more.

Since I was on my way to GNP, I didn’t have a lot of time to organize my load of items in the back of my GX - I just placed things in the drawers and plugged in my cooler and drove off.

The system was so nice to have during the trip. We used the slide out tables quite often to prepare meals and as a temporary holding spot while unloading and loading the drawers. With the drawers, the contents are out of sight and I didn’t worry about theft - and no tonneau cover to hassle with either.

Initially, I was concerned about rattles and potential for more road noise coming from the rear area. No rattles from the system and there is no road noise either.

I’m very glad that I decided to remove the 3rd row seats (something I’ll never use) and replace them with the ADGU drawer system.

I had removed the 3rd row before making the trip to ADGU - here is the start of the installation.

BlueSea 4366 in place. ADGU made sure there was plenty of clearance for longer 12V plugs. The power switch enables cutoff of power so as to not drain the GX battery when the engine is not running.

Full system installed and extended. My Canvas Gear covers fit the system perfectly (not shown) - even where ADGU placed the tie down latches.

 

Very nice setup. 3rd row is pointless anyway.

I just ordered my setup from them today and literally cannot wait. I couldn’t spring for the richlite, (which looks friggin sweet BTW!) and i hope i dont regret that. I recently saw my friends setup in his LC200 and I knew it was the kit for me. I hope i can add a slide out table later too.
