This is more of an informative post than a question. My last SUV could, but I wasn’t sure if the GX could since it is shorter. I do have a rack, but occasionally I ride after work and I don’t want it sitting outside. I searched the internet but no pictures or info.
The answer is YES even with the front wheel on!
Bike is a Trek EX with M/L frame. Front seats are almost all the way back too. Plenty of room!
I usually have to remove the wheels to get my bikes to fit inside rental SUVs when I travel by car for work. BUT, you guys need to spend more money. It's like you are not even trying to go broke in the spirit of a true MTB'r You need a $4k rear bumper and a $1k bike rack to accomplish the same thing.
Nice, my 29er fit inside my VW Golf Sportwagen without taking the wheel off. That is a smaller car, of course, and check fitted it before I bought the car as it was an important pre requisite.
I haven't tried the GX yet as I have a 1up HD rack, but my XXL 29x3" bike fits in my 2009 Honda Fit with the front wheel off. Just gotta slide the passenger seat forward! haha
Reminds me to put that bike rack together I bought last year this weekend. I dread checking the headliner after each time wife puts her bike in/out the back.
