Looking to see if there are anyone had any success in sourcing and installing a front hitch on a late Model GX?- 2019 -

Occasionally I want to maneuver my boat into a tight spot on my property and pushing into place instead of backing would be the ticket.

My friend has a Chevy Suburban which has a front hitch and he uses it for that same reason and it works great.

I don't tow so I don't know the answer.

Is it easier to maneuver a trailer from the front or is it just a visibility thing?

I had a front hitch on my 4Runner and used it occasionally. I looked for one for my GX with no luck. Knowing how the front hitch mounted on my 4Runner I cannot see that one will work on the GX because of the low front lip. Probably the only solution would be an aftermarket off road front bumper with a hitch option.

I added one. I got it from e trailer. It’s for the FJ . It’s the Kurt #31367.
it does require a small amount of trimming at the bottom of the bumper plastic. ( not really visible from standing). Being that yours is a 2019 , that may not be something you want to do. I have a review with pics on etrailer. Look under review for the Kurt 31367. My review should be the newest one.

Thank you very much. I checked out your photos . The 2019 has a panel at the bottom which could be removed and maybe trimming may not be necessary.
I will do some more homework on it.

Sure thing… before I bought it and tried to install, it was unclear if it would even bolt up correctly without some slotting. I decided to take a chance and try. There is very little on this subject for these models online. No one seems to want to verify if it will work or not. That is why I did the review. So others won’t have to play the guessing game. It does fit, just not listed as such, from the manufacturer.

I found this on a FB discussion . This guy make a front Bull Bar that can be modified to incorporate a front hitch .
This can be installed without modifying the existing grille. etc .
Looks like thats the ticket for me.
