Are newer GXs as reliable as older ones?

I asked our Lexus dealer and was told NO, it won't be possible due to necessary wiring being absent...I found a 2020 mirror on E-Bay and wanted to take a leap of faith, but seller also told me it won't be compatible, so I wouldn't be able to return it due to that reason. So I gave up on it...
basically you can run the wires from left side mirror, trace it to the control module if shorter cable run.
I have this on my to do list, but will not do it before I add the "smart" handle to lock/unlock from rear doors as I need to remove trim for that anyway

A 2023 is the exact same vehicle as a 2014-2021GX, minus the infotainment upgrade (why I left out 2022 as it is all the same), all the base parts of the vehicle has not changed. How Lexus puts them together has not changed. The 2022-2023 is just as solid and all the same parts until the dash. Lexus has just improved on the GX model over the years but it is basically the same.

As for infotainment system, I'm sure its possible, but teh cost will not make it worth it.
Get Apple CarPlay or Android Auto with Beatsonic or similar system. We have it and it works really great.
Personally I would not get the extended warranty, but thats a personal preference, cost of "insurance" (extended warranty) vs money for repairs.
As its used its harder for you to know the maintenance history so that shoudl be in your considerations.

I agree with the cost may not be worth it.
For the warranty, Is your GX a Lexus certified used car? If yes, then that should come with a standard “diet coke” warranty.
A used 2022 GX is also not guaranteed to last longer than your 2019.
An extended warranty may provide you with “ peace of mind” but the cost may exceed the cost of potential repairs with a well-maintained GX.
Also, extended warranties are easy to buy but when it's time to get reimbursement….good luck with the process.

They are offering a 60 month / 150k warranty on pretty much everything except brakes, tires and oil. Price tag is $2,500
I'm not sure of the likelihood of spending $2,500 on repairs over the next 5 years and/or 103k miles? Based on JD Power and all the various sources - it's apparently one of the most reliable and durable vehicles you can snag. Although I appreciate the peace of mind you get with a warranty, I am still undecided.

Thanks, so I did a little digging. Vehicle gets here in 2/3 days. 1 owner, super clean car fax and all the service records at a local Lexus dealer. No recalls.

That doesn't sound like a Lexus CPO/VSA - which would be unlimited miles. Is that third party? If that was for an L/Cert 3 year VSA extension on the 2 year CPO then I might consider it, but for a third party I wouldn't buy it regardless of the price.
