Default Oil drain plug magnetic?

Wondering if the OEM oil drain plug is magnetic? If not, anybody have a link to an aftermarket one you are using? Thanks

I don’t think so, but look up GReddy or Mishimoto magnetic drain plugs.

Thanks for the info. It appears the GX uses a 12x1.25mm plug with a 14mm head.

Just change your oil every 5-6,000 miles ... magnetic oil drain plug is not necessary.

Agreed. Most wear materials are not magnetic anyway. I tried one way back when there was zero metal on the magnet.

If there are ferrous materials on the oil pan it’s likely all over.

Necessary for Differentials ... Transfer Cases ... etc given they are "bath flow" ... meaning no filter ... for the engine ... not necessary.

The OEM drain plug is not magnetic. Some of the aftermarket plugs are magnetic so you should look around

There is this thing called an "Oil Filter" ... no need for a magnetic drain plug ... but if it makes one feel better ...
