New tires for Wifes GX
Wife has a 2013 with 50,000 miles. Time for new tires and looking at the LTX's that seem to be the best replacement. Is there a consensus which size is best original 265 or 275 that some have used. Discount Tire has rebates the next two days so it's time to buy.
Thanks, Nelson

People add taller tires to increase ride height for more ground clearance. You're talking about 1/2"-1" at most, so no major increases - but every inch matters when your off pavement.
All that said, does your wife take the GX off road? Do you need an increase in clearance? Do you want your speedometer and odometer to be slightly off?
Edit: I suppose some do it for looks. Taller and/or wider fills out the wheel well more and widens the stance.

275/65/18 is a nice increase (comparing to stock at 265/60/18). This is what I like to replace my OEM with when it is due (9000 miles now)
275/65/18 is about 0.4 inch WIDER than 265 so it is 0.2 inch CLOSER to the UCA. It is also about 1.5 inch TALLER than 265/60/18. Do you know if you have enough room for that because it may rub if you don't. You speedo will show about 5% SLOWER. Do we know if the GX speedometer is 100% accurate?
Perhaps, 265/65/18 is better? It is about 1 inch taller and speedo is about 3% slower.
Please let us know what did you get. Thanks.

Last Thursday I put Michelin LTX M/S2 on our GX based on recommendations from this forum. Only had them a week but they feel better than the Bridgestones that were on it.

Yup, Take the top screw out of the wheel well, it's attached to the running board. I've had mine out for 1.5 years, no issues at all and I do a lot of snow driving.
