There are other lines of Michelin's that also fit your vehicle. I am somewhat biased. I never use anything but Michelin on all of my vehicles. I hear a few complaints about Goodyear. Hear pros and cons about Continental. It should come down to matching your vehicle to your type of driving. If you are all highway, or do a lot of driving off of the main roads then you choices could differ. You may have to give up a smoother ride if you want tires to handle off road driving. Check with the guys at Tire Rack.com. They offer good options most of the time.
I also use Michelin for all my cars.

Thanks, guys. I'll check out the LTX MS/2s. I have an e-mail into Tire Rack and will seek their advice as well.
My driving is all highway, with some limited towing a few times a year. I'd like to take the truck off-roading someday, but I suspect that's never going to happen so that's a non-issue.

Those are all excellent tires, but 2 of them are not apples-to-apples comparisons with the LTX MS2 that everyone is recommending on the forum. The Firestone Destination LE2 is a Highway All-Season tire, just like the Michelin LTX MS2. The Michelin is the #1 tire in that category, with the Firestone in 2nd. The Firestone is one that I sell more of because of the bang-for-the-buck aspect, but if you're looking for the best, then the Michelin is the way to go in this instance.
If you're looking for tires that are more comparable to the Latitude Touring HP that came on the GX, then the Pirelli or the Continental would be the answer. These are Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tires. They will have a sportier feel without sacrificing the ride quality and noise of the Highway All-Season Tires. The Latitude Touring is a decent tire, but it's a pretty old design at this point, and the newer competitors are much better.
Between the Pirelli Scorpion Verde A/S Plus and the Continental CrossContact LX20, the Pirelli has a little bit better steering feel, while the Continental is a little quieter and more comfortable and has the advantage in the wet. During our testing, the Pirelli offered about 3% better fuel economy, if that is a factor for you.
In the future, feel free to email me Theo@tirerack.com directly or PM me on the forum. Since we sponsor the forum, they can get credit for orders placed, which helps keep the forum free to members.

Do 17" 4Runner wheels fit GX460?
Does anyone know if 17" 4Runner wheels will fit a GX460?
It looks like lot's of people are running them on GX470's, but I'm wondering if they'll clear the brake calipers on a GX460? I've also seen a few aftermarket 17" that clear, but they are usually wider with a different offset, so not comparable.
I'm looking at these specifically if anyone knows or has access to a set to try...

I've seen LC200s with 17" 4Runner and Tundra wheels. I can't imagine the GX 460 would have any caliper fitment issues.
The tire options in 265/70/17 are not bad. But stock Toyota rims are 7.5". If you want more tire, and tire options, find a 17x8 rim and 285 tires.
FN Wheels are going to offer the look of that TRD Pro rim in an 8" width. They also have some other 17x8 options.

Walker Evan wheels are also a good choice, but look pickup truck to me.

17" Fit
For anyone that is interested, 17" 4Runner/Tacoma wheels do fit 2nd Gen GX. I put this set of wheels off a 2015 Tacoma Texas Edition. They are 17" X 8". I can't remember the offset, but with the width and offset, they sit 1/2 further out than the factory wheels. I went with a LT265/70R17. I'm not a big fan of the 20". This was the best option I could find. I also like using the stock Toyota lug nuts.

wheel/tire thread?
I'm considering buying a new GX but cannot stand the stock wheels. I've done a search but didn't find anything. Is there a wheel/tire thread I'm missing? Would love to hook up the new whip if we get one.
Thanks!
Thanks!
