Oh, yeaahh! HotKoolAid,
If your keys say HYQ14AAB, you should take a look at the Lexus card key with the FCC ID: HYQ14ABB
Possible part number: 89904-50481

I haven't personally tested this, so proceed with some caution. My first link of in the reference section is where I got your compatible FCC ID match. https://priuschat.com/threads/info-s.../#post-2325479
Look for the "There are two known compatibilities:" section.

The Gen 3 Toyota Prius seem to have the same set of key frequencies our GX have.

Hello Hzhao,
The link to the Gen 3 Toyota Prius forum says the FCC ID's are not interchangeable/compatible. https://priuschat.com/threads/info-s...rt-key.163328/

Their findings are listed under the "There is at least one known incompatibility:" section.

Anybody know where I can order the Techstream software? My Toyota wants to charge me 107$ for a simple job.

You need the Mini MVCI cable too. You can check on eBay. The cable comes with software. There are 2 versions, firmware 1.4.1 is most common and there's a new one 2.04 FW. With 2.04 you are suppose to be able to get Live Engine Data. It is best to install on 32-bit Windows OS and I found that XP is very straight forward while Windows 7 is good for some and requires a bit more steps for others.
This cable is similar to what I have

However, if you already have the cable and need just Techstream software, there's way to get it. Google it or send me a PM

Thanks. Not sure if I should get the v.1.41 or v.2.04 of the cable. I just need to program the credit card key. I’m thinking about going with the v1.41 since it’s about half price of the v2.04.

Yes FW 1.41 would be fine. You can use it to do a lot of other stuffs too.

Got my Credit Car type Key and did registered with my 2014 GX without any problem. In fact, it never asked to put the key on passages seat. It just prompted "Register successful", then displayed the screen where should you number of register available, how many has been registered. I started off with default as 5 available, 2 registered, now showing 4 available and 3 registered. Thanks for all the helpful info. Now, I need to pay a visit to the dealer to see how much and if it's doable to get a metal spare key cut.....

Now that I have the fob working I went ahead and ordered the key blank. Will try and have the dealer cut it next time I go in for an oil change.
Ok Guys - Tried to get the key blank cut at the dealer today. They said it could not be done because the GX uses a double sided key and the credit card key blank is a single sided key. This might be why the GX is not listed as a compatible vehicle for the credit card key.

Really? Old GX470 can, so as current LX. If I am not mistake, those door locks are all single side, the worst case would be you can only insert key in one way, not either way like a normal key would do..... I just ordered blank and will try to ask my dealer the same thing to see what the response would be.

Here is the detail from the service order....Please let me know if you have better luck with your dealer. Update: This service order was a request for the Dealer to cut a blade key (Part # 69515-30350 from the original post) to my 2014 GX460.

I will be visiting dealer latest next Monday, and will definitely let you know the outcome. Thanks for the heads-up.

Went to the dealer today and asked about wallet key blade for GX, it appears the GX460 has no long compatible with blade key anymore, which has departed from previous GX470. The shop guy could not for sure, so he actually offered me a free cut to try. The cut key was able to insert in one way (but actually a upside down way compare to my LX blade key), but won't be able to lock/unlock. I guess any Lexus models currently offer wallet keys are the only ones that are blade key compatible. So for those of you have not ordered blade key master, then don't bother and save the $40.

Bummer! Thanks for trying it out. If I get the wallet smartkey, I’m going to get one of those magnet holder thing and put one of the cut key in it and stick it to the bottom of the truck and then throw a few extra batteries into the glovebox.
