Side Mirror Problems/Repairs/Questions

How was it resolved?
Need help with mirror glass issue. Dealer replaced 2 months ago and same problem again. Now they say I need dash harness, $9k due to sunroof drains blocked. Refused repair and poured water in sunroof track and water drains perfectly out both sides. Car is garaged always. No trees in garage. Both glasses did this at same time first go round and this time as well.
I dont know if it is related but they also found the interior lights when on auto position drain my battery. So now I have to keep on off position.
What was the issue and how was it resolved? What was the cost?
I have a 2012 Lexus GX460

That is usually traced back to water intrusion via clogged sunroof drains or compromised windshield seal onto affected ECU under the dash.

I have the same thing going on with my mirrors. I've been told it is the excess heat but in 10 years that I've had the car it never happened.

About 2 weeks after the battery drainage diagnosis I had water come through passenger visor/ mirror area. Not much but it has never happened before.
So what kind of repair am I looking for? How costly and what kinda guarantee that once repaired won't happen again? Car still runs great at 180,000 miles but if I have to put money into something like this I'm contemplating trading it in for something newer.

Probably need a Techstream, scan to confirm ECU…probably Body Control Module is partially damaged as mirrors connect to that.
I don’t recall anyone posting work order on what specific ECU was replaced. Interior light should be controlled by that as well
around a $700 new ECU and mirrors are probably $150 or so each plus labor costs

Same problem I had, replace the motor. There's a link to an overseas seller above. Can be a PITA to change, I had 3 body guys say they couldn't do it an to replace the whole Mirror Assembly, $500-$700 depending on year and model and availability or used if you can find it. I have a Indy I use that can "Fix" things. Took him about 30 minutes.
