Just checking… Did you check pressure on spare as well? There are 5 sensors.

The pre ‘20 models don’t have this ..

Techstream or OBD Link you could pull the codes and/or pin down the failed sensor.

Assuming it is just one bad sensor you could change pressure in each tire to track down which sensor has failed or is giving erroneous readings.
Unlike 20+ you have to sleuth for a defective one on 10-19 models

Okay so I figured I’d do the TPMS delete that GX Bob posted on YouTube and well.. turns out my GX (2018 : Premium ) doesn’t have the Red TPMS box ( at least not in the location shown by GX Bob!! )
GX Bob’s video link :

All that prep and work in 100 degree weather for nothing! 😡
So, got a few questions.. 😊
- Was /is the TPMS module optional ?
- If it’s standard, could it be located in a different place ? Anyone know where ?
- If it’s optional, could the TPMS light still come on ( not sure how but.. ) ?
Plz chime in! Thanks..

Not surprising with age but appears one of my TPMS sensors is finally dying after 11.5 year. One is starting to send off intermittent connectivity codes and triggering the light. My winters with far newer sensors go on in a month. I need to replace tires in the spring due to age so will replace all sensors including spare (need a new spare tire too).

Tpms readings by tire position
I have the pic of car with tire pressure showing by front right, front left, ect, on dash. When you rotate the tires, does the car know where you put each tire and report tire pressure in correct spot on the pic?

On 2021 and newer GX you can identify & calibrate the TPMS sensors through the dash/steering wheel controls. The procedure is in the manual

Not sure, if there is a noticeable difference in pressure showing on the dash I would just check the pressures with a gauge to identify the locations

I have a 2023 GX and I just replaced all 4 TPMS in my winter rims with brand new ones (Part # 4206753020). I've been driving around for at least 2-3 hours in total, on and off the highway, following the instructions below. It's stuck on registering the sensors screen... I'm not sure what else to do, should I just overinflate and deflate the tires to see if that'll activate them?

This is for my 2021, when changing wheels it is a two step process. you need to register the TPMS sensors first
Then you need to initialize them
I use this method twice a year swapping winter & summer tires, has always worked for me.
